Are you ready for some Dallas Cowboys football!

Pre-season games are done. In less than a week the season starts and I’m very excited because I see good things ahead for the ‘Boys!  My only concern was raised by Quarterback Tony Romo’s bad performance against in state rival, Houston.

Romo took over late in the season last year and brought new life to the team and new excitement to the fans for his first six games.  Then the magic started to wear off.  The season ended when Romo made his now-famous bumble that prevented the game-winning field goal.

Why was Romo still holding?  Only Bill Parcells can answer that. Once he became starting quarterback Romo wouldn’t have even practiced with the kicker. As it was Tony Romo held up to his critics well and rebounded with new confidence.  He faced the music.

He still faces the music from critics for his off-field lifestyle. Dating Carrie Underwood, judging the Miss Universe padgent, singing at a club with an 80’s rock band parody group are how Romo spent his off-season.  He also spent more time on the practice field than anyone. I say let him have his famous girlfriend and the other little perks that go with the job.  He knows what his job is. He’s always known.

It’s up to him to prove he is a leader on the field.  Can he have the best of both worlds?
